A year ago, Micro-Epsilon Eltrotec introduced the first online measuring system, colorCONTROL ACS7000, which not only compares values, but also determines their spectrums in the process. Spectrophotometry is the most accurate measuring method to determine colour values. colorCONTROL ACS7000 provides colour distances to an accuracy of ΔE < 0.08. The system now includes additional functionality. More options are available for measuring the colour distance to the reference, as well as to the standard ΔE calculation: ΔE(CMC), ΔE99, ΔE94, ΔEDE2000. For spectral measurements, the user will choose between different colour spaces: L*a*b*99, L*c*h* and L*c*h*99 were added to the classic XYZ, L*a*b* and L*u*v*. Improved lighting brightness compensation and improved temperature compensation now support spectral measurements for lighting and plasma colours.
To ensure that this high precision measuring system can be used for purposes other than just quality control in production lines, Micro-Epsilon offers a tactile adapter for the standard sensor head with a measurement geometry of 30°/0°. Due to this adapter, random contact tests can be carried out with defined distances, angles and environmental conditions for quality assurance purposes. The sensor head is inserted into the adapter and fixed with two screws.
These new features enable a single colour measurement system to be used on the production line and in the test lab.
