Vibration measurement and crash tests – these are just examples from the wide range of tasks that the optoNCDT 1630 laser triangulation sensors can perform. With a cut-off frequency of 100 kHz, the sensors are amongst the fastest laser displacement sensors currently available. The sensors have automatic light intensity control for adjustment of the optics to different target surfaces. An Ethernet interface and analogue outputs enable the sensors to be easily integrated into process control systems. The new optoNCDT 1630 laser sensors can be enhanced for application-specific, multi-channel measurement systems using the CSP 2008 Universal Controller. Due to the large bandwidth of the measuring ranges from 0.5 to 50 mm, the sensor series can be used for different tasks: Position control of pistons and valves, measurement of length, angle, thickness and flatness measurement, etc.
