Kombinationssensorn som kombinerar en kapacitiv och en eddy-current (virvelström) sensor i gemensamt hus är särskilt lämpad för tjockleksmätningar av plaster och filmer. Virvelströmssensorn mäter igenom plastlagret och mäter avståndet till metallen under. Den kapacitiva sensorn mäter kapacitansen, som bestäms både av avståndet mellan sensorn och metallytan, såväl som volymen av plasten. Differensen mellan de båda signalerna ger en exakt tjockleksinformation av filmen eller plastlagret.

Measuring principle
The combiSENSOR measures the coating thickness with a capacitive sensor to measure the distance from the coating and an eddy current sensor to measure the distance from the metal roller. The difference between the two signals provides the total thickness of the coated film, while mechanical influences are automatically compensated for.
